The Lining Process:

The lining system comprises of the inversion into the defective pipe of a polyester felt tube which has a Polyurethane outer coating. The liner is impregnated with a liquid resin which is chosen to suit the situation in which the liner is to operate, and which is designed according to individual specification for thickness.

For the defective pipeline in a manhole either the inversion tower, or a Pressure water system is used to apply the head of water pressure needed to invert the liner tube into the pipe. At points of access along the sewer thermocouples are positioned to monitor curing temperature along the liner.

When the liner is fully inverted, high pressure water is used to propel the liner forward. After completion of inversion we deploy the boiler from whence hot water is circulated to the temperature required to cure the liner.

CIPP (Cured-in-place-pipe):

      

  • Most widely used trenchless method for restoring structural integrity and removing infiltration from sewers.
  • This method results in a seamless, joint less "pipe-within-a-pipe" with a smooth, continuous inner surface which increases flow capacity.

THE JET-VAC MACHINE or THE FLEXLINE VAN:

Used for cleaning or jetting the sewer. Using high pressure jet of water to clean the sewers, followed by sucking out the sludge by vacuum extraction before installation of the lining.

The CCTV Survey:

Prior to the installation the sewer line is inspected using a CCTV camera. This is to ensure that the pipeline is free of silt, debris, tree-roots or intrusions, which could adversely affect the lining installation.

With a range of cameras able to survey and record information from pipe sizes 75mm to 2000mm the EOL CCTV survey division has already completed over 100s of kilometers. The CCTV van is made to our specifications to suit our projects.
